Enjoy the view of picturesque mountains and the Lidder river while on the way to Pahalgam. En route visit Patnitop, a famous hill resort perched on a beautiful plateau, at an altitude of 2024 metres across which the Jammu-Srinagar Highway passes. Situated at an altitude of 2730 m, Sonamarg, which means – Meadow of Gold – has, as its backdrop, snowy mountains against a cerulean sky. Have Gondola ride upto the peak heights of Khilanmarg for which tickets are available at J&K State Cable Car Corporation office in Gulmarg. Advance Gondola tickets may also be purchased from Tourist Reception Center (TRC), Srinagar or same may be booked online to avoid standing in long queues at ticket counters in Gulmarg.
