The highlights of this tour is a visit to ‘Khajjiar ‘which is known as mini Switzerland and is 23 Kms away from Dalhosuie and peep into the Tibetan culture and the residence of his holiness “The Dalai Lama” at Dharamshala . You will also get opportunity to visit beautiful Rohtang Pass at Manali.
Intinerary
Pick up from Jammu Airport/Railway Station and transfer to Katra (50 Kms/1.5 Hours). Spend rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay at Katra.

Early morning, proceed for Mata Vaishno Devi Bhawan- one of the most popular pilgrimages of India situated in the lap of Trikuta mountains across Katra town at an altitude of around 5200 feet. Yatra upto Bhawan involves a trek of nearly 12 Kms from Katra base camp known as Ban Ganga & 2.5 Kms from Sanji Chhat which is dropping point for pilgrims boarding through Helicopter. You have to hire a local auto rikshaw for reaching Ban Ganga or Helipad available round the clock at very nominal charges. Battery cars, Cable cars, Ponies, Palkis, Pithoos, Porters etc. are other means of transport during yatra for assisting senior citizens, children and physically challenged persons. After performing darshans, if time permits, visit Bhairo Temple & return back to Katra in the evening. Overnight stay at Katra.

Early morning after breakfast, check out from the hotel & proceed for Dalhousie, a famous Hill Resort in Himachal Pradesh (220 Kms from Katra) which spreads over five low-level hills at the western edge of the Dhauladhar range, just east of the Ravi River. This place is situated at 6000-9000 feet above sea level. Check into the hotel. Local sightseeing at Dalhousie like Jandhrighat Palace, Subhash Bowli, Bara Pathar, Panjphulla, Subhash Chownk, GPO Dalhousie, Satdhara and the last but not least old Churches of Dalhousie. Overnight stay at Dalhousie.

After breakfast, proceed for Khajjiar which is a vast emerald green meadow with thick forested slopes of deodars. This place is also known as Gulmarg of Himachel Pradesh & mini Switzerland of India. It is 23 Kms from Dalhousie by road and 13 Kms from Kalatop. Khajjiar is a forest glade of great beauty, 6400 feet above sea level”. You may enjoy paragliding here during peak tourist season. Early morning after breakfast, check out from the hotel & proceed for Dharamshala/Mcleodgang (120 Kms/2.30 Hours) which is a famous hill resort lying on the spur of the Dhauladhar range about 17 kms North-East of Kangra town. This hill station is wooded with oak and conifer trees & snow capped mountains enfold three sides of the town while the valley stretches in front. Check into the hotel. Replete with Tibetan culture and the residence of his holiness “The Dalai Lama”. Visit Dal lake, Bhagsu water falls and Tibetan Monastery. In the afternoon, visit Naddi village which affords a magnificent view of Dhauladhar mountain range to the north and the vast expanse of lush Kangra valley to the south. It is an excellent place for holiday seekers, a favorite resort for trekkers to Lahaul, Spiti, Bara Bhangal (Kangra), and Zanskar ranges. Located at a height of 3979 m and at a distance of approx. 40 Kms from Solang Valley on Keylong – Leh highway, next is Rohtang Pass which is gateway to Lahaul Spiti, Pangi and Leh Valley. Please note that for visiting Rohtang Pass, Green Area Permit is required which is issued by Tourism Development Council, Manali on daily basis.
